I like Yahoo Sports for catching up on the news of the day in the sporting world. One of the things Yahoo does well is aggregate reports from a ton of sources. The problem is that they don’t logically handle the browsing experience.
Before I start with what sucks about Yahoo Sports news, let me give the kudos for giving uses the ability to sort the news report from certain sources. This helps eliminate double reporting and allows you to see the reports from the sources you like the most and trust.
Survive any disaster in your own home. Prepare now. A must for the coming problems in the world!Ok, let’s get to what sucks. The page has a way to going to the previous articles or more articles by clicking left or right. The problem is that it is on top of the list. If you read the entire list of articles and get to the bottom, there is nothing there to move back and forward.
The following screen shot shows:
1) The PREVIOUS/MORE buttons on top
2) The pink is the middle section I cropped out to save space
3) The yellow oval shows where you would expect to see a PREVIOUS/MORE on the bottom, which is logical. You get to the end of the list and look to the right.
My thought is that the formatting is due to the content management system they use, though it is curious why they have never changed the layout to help people browse more efficiently.
