Reddit had a thread about popular baby names super imposed on a map of the United States. The list was odd since I would expect there to be different regional variations, but it was pretty consistent.
The top three boys names in the United States:
- Jacob
- William
- Mason
The top three girls names in the United States:
- Isabella
- Emma
- Olivia
With our first child we spent weeks pondering names, deciding on outcomes based on that name, looking for ways to make fun of it, planning contingencies based on hair color and more. On the second child we spent less time and with the third it was little more than a couple of days discussion. It wasn’t that the third child was less important, it was that we realized that choosing names isn’t as significant as people make it out to be.
Survive any disaster in your own home. Prepare now. A must for the coming problems in the world! The only constant between our kids is the pattern of consonant, vowel, consonant. We thought it would be cool to pass that on among the kids.
