I usually don’t jump on the bandwagon in damning the mainstream media. Sure, they’ve made some mistakes, but they do source an awful lot of news. Still, there are times when I shake my head and wonder if they have died.
This week has shown they have died.
Alaska released a trove of Sarah Palin emails. 24,000 in fact.
The mainstream media thought it was going to be a great story. So, did they do the following:
Prepare a squad of top drawer journalists? Nope.
Survive any disaster in your own home. Prepare now. A must for the coming problems in the world!Reach out to tech titans to automate the review? Nope.
They asked their readers. Seriously. The New York Times readers led with some great comments:
How did it go? The media has found nothing of note.
