Akismet – The garndfather of spam prevention. Before I moved from Drupal to WP, spam consumed all my admin time.

Autoptimize – With Google’s recent focus on site speed, I realized I needed help.



Google Analyticator – This helps insert Google Analytics code with various options.

Google XML Sitemaps – Automatically creates and submit site maps to Google and Bing.

Include Me – Inserts snippets of code into your posts. See the ad on the next line.

Jetpack by WordPress.com – WordPress’ all in one plugin. I use the twitter, share and editing tools.

Newsletter – Compiles a list of user submitted email addresses for newsletters.

Post Teaser – Appends a breakdown of words and images at the end of a post and also breaks it into a certain amount of words.

Random Image Block – Old school, but I still like to show a random image in the sidebar.

Site Table of Contents – A complete site map that the users can look at.

Smart Youtube – Easily embeds and controls Youtube videos.

TinyMCE Advanced – More options for the WordPress editor.

WordPress Database Backup – Manually backs up WP database files.

WordPress Popular Posts – Tracks the hits your posts gets and allows you to display them.

WP-ServerInfo – A catch all that shows server specific information such as versions, capacity and more.

Yet Another Related Posts Plugin – Shows related posts to the reader.
