LastPass is a great service that centralizes and controls all your passwords. Literally, you can store all your passwords in a secure environment. You get to manage those passwords and be secure in the fact that no one will get them.
When you use the service you install extensions in your browser that communicate with the LastPass servers. This enables the service to auto login and auto fill username and passwords.
A week or so ago I received this error:
Ouch.
I went to google to go find out what it was and no one was really helpful. This site told me to turn off the security checking in Firefox, but that seemed like a bad idea to me.
Going to the LastPass site I put in a ticket and they responded almost immediately.
They said:
As a security precaution we acquired a new security certificate, unfortunately our old one was revoked about 20 minutes before the new one went into effect. This was a planned upgrade and has nothing to do with any kind of security breach.
Should be resolved for everyone now.
