One of the things I like to see is success for the internet companies I enjoy. Believe it or not, I like the NY Times. I feel they are one of the few operations still performing real, hard hitting journalism. Though they lean to the left, they are professionals.
This leads me to be confused as to why they instituted a paywall. The paywall is designed to have people pay to access more than 20 articles a month.
My confusion comes for the following reasons:
Why are they charging like I am buying a paper? They want me to pay weekly and not monthly, quarterly or yearly. What is this, 1950?
Survive any disaster in your own home. Prepare now. A must for the coming problems in the world! Why do they limit access? I can buy access through my PC and smartphone or a tablet or all three. What? Really?
Why did they make it so easy to get around the paywall? All you have to do is interrupt the loading, load it from google news and many more ways.
I really want to show my support for the NY Times, but there isn’t an option I am comfortable with. In looking over the prices, it’d be cheaper for me to subscribe to the actual paper.
Oh, now I get it. The NY Times is really interested in keeping the paper model alive.
