Can people build a better search engine with social search?

Back in the day, Yahoo was the preferred search engine for many people. I know, it's shocking to think that Google wasn't as dominate as it is now, but it's true. The main reason people liked Yahoo is that they had an index of sites for the internet.

Quit laughing, I'm serious.

Survive any disaster in your own home. Prepare now. A must for the coming problems in the world!

Of course, this was easier when the internet had fewer sites. The problem is that people do make effective gate keepers when it comes to helping you find what you need.

Sproose is a new search engine that brings the power back to the people. If you go to the Sproose home page, you'll see a very clean interface. Clean interfaces are important, because it lets you focus on searching.

Now, the power of Sproose is exposed when you do a search. In the search results you'll see five stars to the left of each result. To help focus the results you can rate each site as you browse. What could be easier? Your ratings are incorporated back into the mix to help others with their searches. Social searching. Simple and easy.

Sproose is an excellent idea in today's world of gaming and hacking search engines. The users have control, which is the way it should be.
